Swirls Out. Gloss Back.
Paint correction mechanically removes surface defects — restoring depth, clarity, and reflectivity that no wax or sealant can replicate.
Real Correction. Not a Cover-Up.
Paint correction is the process of using machine polishers and abrasive compounds to carefully remove a thin, controlled layer of clear coat — taking surface defects with it.
This is skilled, labor-intensive work. Done correctly, it restores the paint to its original state or better. Done incorrectly, it introduces new defects, causes heat damage, or removes too much clear coat. We do it right.
The difference between corrected and uncorrected paint isn't subtle. Under direct lighting, corrected paint reflects cleanly. Uncorrected paint shows a web of swirls and micro-scratches that dull the reflection.
Paint correction is also the essential first step before any ceramic coating. You cannot coat over defects — they'll be sealed in permanently.
What Gets Corrected
Swirl Marks
Fine circular scratches typically caused by improper washing or automated car washes.
Fine Scratches
Light surface scratches from brushes, keys, branches, or other contact with clear coat.
Water Spots
Mineral deposits left behind when water evaporates on an untreated surface.
Oxidation
Dull, chalky paint caused by prolonged UV exposure and surface degradation.
Buffer Trails
Holograms or marring left by improper machine polishing from previous detailing.
Light Etching
Surface damage from bird droppings, tree sap, or industrial fallout left on paint too long.
Correction Levels
The right level depends on your paint's condition and your goals. We'll inspect and recommend the appropriate approach.
Single-Stage Correction
50–70% defect reduction
One polishing stage using a cutting compound. Addresses light swirling and fine defects. Best for well-maintained vehicles.
Two-Stage Correction
Popular70–90% defect reduction
Cut-and-polish combination. Removes moderate swirling, scratches, and surface defects with a follow-up refinement pass.
Multi-Stage Correction
90%+ defect reduction
Full correction using multiple compounding and polishing stages. For heavily defected paint, neglected vehicles, or show-level results.
